Angie! Painting the Town!

Taking advantage of the good weather, Angie Thompson painted the particle board walls of the 1900 theater. This is just the base coat, purchased cheaply because it had been mixed wrong. The final coat will be slate gray, which Angie and Elena Lincoln elected.

We are getting the theater ready for our second movie: TWISTER!

I can’t tell you how happy this makes me! Seeing a community come together to save part of their history is wonderful! Ross, I remember you saying you lived on the west coast of Florida for some time. Did you ever make it down to Sarasota and the Ringling museum and mansion? This reminds me of the Ringling Hotel that sat for decades and was finally demolished. It was so sad, I was born and raised in Sarasota and when I heard about it I was so upset. I was living up north at the time. There was always talk of restoring it, but it just never happened.

Twister is a great choice for showing in the theater! Hope the weather warms up and you can show it soon!
