One week from tonight, on Saturday, October 27, the 1953 classic, the War of Worlds will be playing at the 1900 theater!

The door of the theater will open at 6:30 with the movie beginning at 7. 

Snacks, beer, wine and soft drinks will be served for a $20 admission fee.

    Awesome! My mother told me that when the original radio program was released on Oct 30, 1938, there was panic because people thought it was real.

    It will be terrific evening. I wish I could join!

    “The Day the Earth Stood Still” is another great cold-war-influenced sci-fi movie from that era.
